It is important to know what screw size your Savage rifle is. If in doubt, you can measure the holes with a pair of calipers. #6-48 screws will measure approximately 0.138”. #8-40 screws will measure approximately 0.164”.  If you are unsure, it is best to check with Savage to make sure you order the mount with the right screws.
