The Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather SS is a top-tier bolt-action rifle designed to excel in the harshest hunting conditions. This rifle combines precision engineering with rugged durability, making it a favorite among hunting enthusiasts. Its Bell and Carlson lay-up composite stock provides a solid and lightweight feel, complemented by a textured charcoal gray matte finish for improved grip.
Engineered for extreme accuracy, the rifle features a free-floating fluted stainless steel barrel with a recessed target crown to protect the rifling. The classic Pre-'64 style controlled round feed with claw extractor ensures reliable feeding, while the Three-Position Safety offers enhanced security during operation. With the integration of a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, it effectively mitigates the recoil of powerful magnum cartridges.
